The last and final day of the tour leaves not much to write about as it’s more or less a straight ride home. Nonetheless it is part of the ride and deserves to be written about just as much as any other day.
Leaving the hotel at a leisurely hour after breakfast but before the Sun gets too high and the day becomes too warm. We headed South out of Sukhothai along route 101 down to Kamphaeng Phet and then picking up R1 all the way to Bangkok. Long straight sections of road but nonetheless some great pace and riding.
In all, it’s been a great tour. We both thoroughly enjoyed the riding and spending quality time together as a couple, for that is what a lot of it is about. Through the labours of a full time job and not getting the opportunity to spend more than a weekend together, it’s just great to spend a few uninterrupted days with my wife. We saw some great parts of the country together, experience people, the cultures of the country and the food.
So now having crossed 10,000 kms since the last service time to send to bike to the workshop for a well deserved service and clean up.
