I am a motorbiker. Originally from the UK, I had been motorbiking most of my adult life. I took a brief gap in 2001 when I moved to South Korea. In 2006 I moved to Singapore bought a Ducati 1098 and that’s where my love and passion for motorbikes took off to what it is today.
Since then I have have ridden many thousands of kilometres across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan. Of course there isn’t a whole lot of touring kilometres one can do in Singapore, but the life it gave me was one I could never have imagined. I met many hundreds of people, made some of the best friendships I’ve had, became heavily involved in the motorcycling communities of Singapore, experienced riding in a wholly new way and became a much better rider and person as a result.
In October 2015 I embarked on a tour from Bangkok (my current home) to Yunnan, China. A 6,343 kilometre tour over 23 days which was indeed one of the best tours I have ridden and decided to create this blog site in order to chronicle my ride, and share other motorcycling experiences. I hope to share through this blog site the passion and enjoyment that comes through motorcycling. That said, the greatest pleasure of all was when I was able to first take my wife, soul mate and best friend on her first tour.
I’m more than happy to receive feedback and comments on the blogs as I’m finding that it’s a continuous journey of learning and improvement each time I post a blog. So feel free to post comments and feedback.
Also I’ve learned to add in links (which are underlined) in the posts that provide useful links to map locations, information on places visited etc which I hope are useful to the readers. Enjoy the blogs !!!
